Hi. Some great gift ideas. Nice to have some information from a woman for a woman. I am often wondering what to buy my girlfriend from Christmas, and birthday. Now I have some good choices. Thanks for the info. Tom

Wow oh wow, another impressive line up of reviews Penelope =) It’s another Christmas treat idea that is seemingly subtle yet very effective. I am now listing stuff for treats and this is a good one. Oh and great “new” name Santa Penelope. Creative indeed =) Happy Holidays =)

Hi Penelope, I love how pretty much all of these hair loss products are really affordable. I think any woman would be happy to receive any of them. I know I would. I especially love the supplements as that is just such a minimum effort required that nobody can say they haven’t got time to do it. I have a question about my own thinning hair (sounds awful doesn’t it?), as you mention about hair accessories, I’m pretty sure that me putting my hair tight up as a bun on my head (after backcombing it….probably bad too) has caused my hair thinning around the front as I always feel that pulling. Damn! Do you think this is the case? And can you recommend a product other than a scrunchie to use?

YEAH, thank you so much for brining that up, Stefanie! Tight buns and ponytails are our enemies and to be avoided. It strains weakened follicles and hair pulled tight regularly from weak follicles is more prone to fall out.

I would suggest one of those wide hair bands that you wear around your face, that I recommended here, or even just hair pulled loosely in a ponytail at the nape of your neck rather than the tightly at the top of your head. Those are my go-tos and I’ve noticed a huge difference.

Hi Penelope, I knew I was doing wrong when I was pulling my hair back into that style. Damn it, and it’s my favorite style as well. Always gives me more height. Oh well I guess I will just have to be good from now on. Thanks for the great tips.

Really thoughtful gift ideas…and like you said, what a great treat to receive these instead of having to buy them!

I already use the OGX line and had NO idea that they offered caffeinated shampoo! Whaaaaat Whaaaaat! And that price is suuuper affordable.. C’mon Santa, that’s not even a splurge!

    * “Nicer” vitamins than I’d buy myself from the grocery store..haaaaaaahaaa! I’m copying this and sending it to MY santa…aka..”boyfriend” immediately.
Thanks for the great ideas and offering a lot of options that are super affordable! I really like the idea for the bone brother kit you mentioned too. That’s a great idea for anyone, especially during this time of the year!
    Merry Christmas! 🙂

Merry Christmas, Jennifer! I’m glad you got some inspiration, and yeah, totally go grab that shampoo. It’s the best inexpensive caffeine shampoo that I’ve tried, so far. Glad you got a kick out of my jokes 🙂 🙂

    Hi penelope,
I just can’t get enough of reading about your great products. With all the advice and tips I have been putting into practice from your page I expect to have a full blown lustrous head of hair this time in 6 months. God, that would be great, and if not I shall probably have to purchase some of the more expensive products like the laser therapy helmet. I would LOVE to try that one out!
Also, I love the look of the grow gorgeous hair serum intense. I love serums as they always make your hair look lovely and glossy. Thanks again for all your great tips.

Interesting list! Love the headbands and the cookbook from the Bone Brother starter kit. These are great affordable ideas, especially for people you don’t know what to buy for but know they have some hair issues. Thanks a lot for sharing!

Hi, It is a timely review for me. My wife is experiencing hair loss right now. I plan to buy some surprising Christmas gift for her. I am definitely going to buy her coconut oil. I also plan to buy a low level laser therapy hair loss helmet, but when I enter the site and found that It cost $499.99. I don’t have budget for this now. Do you think they will have on sale or something in the future? I am going to follow this. Thank you for the nice review!

Hi Anthony, thanks for the question. She’ll love whatever you pick up! And yeah, those helmets run pricey although many are in the thousands, not hundreds. A more affordable alternative version of this technology is their comb – read my review of that one here.

I don’t know about getting any of these stocking fillers for the woman in my life but I would be thrilled if I got any of these in my own stocking as I’m going a bit thin on top so I might just leave this tab open with your page on it for when my wife opens the laptop next…hint hint. lol

I guess you would have to know the person really well. I know you being a woman would know they like. But what if they are insecure. How do I get around that when giving them one of these items?

Penelope on December 12, 2017 Reply

That’s a good and fair question, Maurice! I suppose you should consider how well you know her and then if she flips about any of it being hair loss related (not all of it is overtly – esp the blowdryer, the bone broth kit, the hair accessories, even the serum)…you can plead ignorance 🙂

From a woman’s point of view… I WOULD LOVE TO RECEIVE ANY OF THESE IN MY STOCKING!

One that really sticks out though is the Scalp Massage supplies! A scalp massage is my absolute FAVORITE type of my massage! Soooo relaxing!

In addition to helping with hair growth, it is also a GREAT bonding action for you and your loved one!

Hopefully my hubbie will check my history and read this post and have me some good surprises in my stocking when I wake up on Christmas morning!

Hahahaha, I love your enthusiasm. Very cool. I agree completely, massage is such a nurturing and positive activity to share, and luckily in our case it’s also awesome for our scalps and hair regrowth!

I always get my mom and sister some beauty and hair products. They go crazy over them! But I am always clueless as to what to get them so I’ll just get them a gift-card. Some of these are definitely worth looking into.

Very cool products and great gift ideas. I have no hair from chemotherapy. I wonder if some of these products will help new hair growth for my baldiness, lol..

Thanks for all of your research on these products. Cool site!

Penelope on January 28, 2018 Reply

Hi Francine, thanks for the great question, and the answer is yes! Pretty much all of these products will nurture and nourish your scalp and help you with regrowing your hair! At the very least, they will support and speed up your body’s natural processes when you are done with the chemo and back to normal.
